In 2012 Language In Provence will be offering a programme with a different approach to language learning.
OUR SPECIALIST THEME WEEKS combine our French Immersion Courses with excursions, visits, and tours around a particular theme. The themes are appropriate for the season and result from our passion for our region and its riches, whether these be food, wine, landscapes or history. The visits not only appeal to the senses but are stimulating and informative. The fascinating visits are prepared well in advance with your teachers and you FEEL what it is to live in Provence, you get to understand the people and places around you. You will be comfortable with it all.
Throughout these weeks you will be guided by Susan and Mark. We have had many years' experience and have a passion for our village, the Luberon Valley and Provence. Come and give it a try, we think it will be an unforgettable learning experience with a difference!
SPECIALIST THEME WEEKS
FRENCH & THE LAVENDER FIELDS OF PROVENCE
A very popular week which combines French Learning (our normal French Immersion Course programme) with breathtaking visits to the spectacular lavender fields of higher Provence, a lavender distillery and the L'Occitane factory.

FRENCH & THE VINEYARDS OF PROVENCE
By popular request for the fourth year running we have been asked to include our wine tour weeks in our programme. In 2012 we will be extending our visits to the Luberon Vineyards (and their wonderful rosés) and to the slopes around Aix-en-Provence as well as our beloved vineyards of the Côtes de Rhône.

FRENCH & ROMAN PROVENCE
A wonderful addition to our programme for 2012 with the help of our guide Mark who brings to life the astonishing reminders of the Roman period in Provence with its architecture, feats of engineering and beauty. Visits to Roman towns, aquaducts, bridges, theatres and ruins will be included.

FRENCH & COOKERY
After many requests for a cookery element to be included in our immersion weeks we are offering a week which includes shopping in the local market, demonstrations from a local chef, preparing lunch together and a demonstration of French dessert making. No specialist skills required to participate in this course which should produce delicious results
